Bobby West is the Founder and CEO of The PrepStep Project, leading the organization’s mission to create accessible youth baseball programs that foster athletic skill, personal growth, and community connection. Since launching the project, Bobby has built the foundational systems and infrastructure that ensure PrepStep’s sustainability and impact in Baltimore.

With experience in nonprofit development since 2020, Bobby specializes in designing community-centered programs and building operational frameworks that support grassroots organizations. Before focusing on nonprofits, he worked as a Fitness Director and Coach, creating fitness and sports programs that engage diverse populations. Notably, he served as the strength and conditioning coach for the Baltimore Ravens cheerleaders during the 2015 and 2016 seasons while also establishing a speed & agility school for youth athletic performance.

Bobby’s leadership philosophy centers on empowerment through consistent support and learning from failure. He believes in transparent communication and creating spaces where youth can grow both on and off the field. Inspired by the mentors who shaped his own journey, Bobby is committed to becoming a torchbearer for Baltimore’s youth—especially those who lack access to guidance and opportunity.

His personal mission is to ensure Baltimore’s most promising young people are no longer limited by a lack of resources or attention. Through The PrepStep Project, Bobby strives to build a thriving baseball community that cultivates confident athletes and future leaders.
